How to go to Phuket from Hatyai?

I plan a group trip with friends to Hatyai From Kuala Lumpur by Train. We plan to stay about 4D3N. Among the plan also a quick trip to Phuket. Is it possible? if it is.. How? Any Bus or Train? and How much it costs? Thank you.
