Accommodation in Kuala Lumpur end of May.?

I am flying into KL Low cost carrier terminal (LCCT) on Air Asia at the end of May and need to find accommodation somewhere. The flight gets in at 7pm and I am flying again the next evening at 9:30pm. I am not sure how far things are, what is good value accommodation or what vicinity I should be staying... or even the best transport method. I am going to be tired as I am flying from London, but want to try and see a little bit of KL whilst I am there, if I can. Thanks to everyone who can help answer my very long question.
