40 weeks lost mucus plug 3 hrs ago. No change in contractions.?

I lost my mucus plug 5 weeks before I went into labor. It is only a sign that your cervix is ripening and is starting to open. Not that labor is about to begin. But with you being 40 weeks it gonna happen very soon anyways.
